Respond to this discussion APA 250 words cite and ask a question

Children’s needs compare to the elderly’s in the way in which children may be in long term care for one single disability or condition while the elderly can be taken care of having multiple conditions or comorbidities. One example of a difference is pediatric nursing care units. Families and children find it important to have special physical and emotional needs in separate units with other children (Pratt, 2016, p. 98). The VA department provides long-term and short-term care in nursing homes for veterans who cannot care for themselves or do not need to be in a hospital setting (Wadsworth n.d.). “The Veterans Aid & Attendance Pension Benefit, or “A&A benefit,” provides up to $1,794 per month to a veteran, $1,153 to a surviving spouse or $2,127 to a couple. The money, which is tax-free, can be used for in-home care, board and care, an assisted living community or a private-pay nursing home” (Lunden, 2017). Rehabilitation in long term care can help those with therapies for those after an injury at a place that provides services such as laundry and nursing services. In long-term care there are medical staff around to aide in whatever is needed medically. Being able to rehabilitate within a LTC facility provides people with great care while they are recovering.
