Over the years, there have been many problems the school system has faced. Some of these issues have been fixed along the way, some issues have been ignored, and some made worse. I believe one of the worst issues in education that is directly related to the curriculum is the growing teacher to student ratio. It seems the number of students in a classroom is growing while the number of teachers certified to teach is shrinking. Some Primary grades 1 to 7: 1:40 while some technical and vocational subjects are 1:100. (Wadesango, Hove, & Kurebwa, 2016).Loeb et al. (2005), in their research, found that high levels of staff are a function of low salaries, large class sizes, problems with facilities, and lack of textbooks. A large class to teacher ratios ultimately affect the outcome of the quality of education the students are receiving, and the amount of the approved curriculum that is being taught and comprehended. This is unfair to students and teachers. According to Wadesango, it can be deduced that large class size has adverse effects as far as effective curriculum implementation is concerned. When there are such large class sizes, it makes the teacher's job even more difficult to ensure every student is having a positive experience with the curriculum at hand which in turn can increase the rate of dropping out. (Wadesango, Hove, & Kurebwa, 2016). The learning of the curriculum is the responsibility of educational leaders because it is their job to ensure every student receives a quality education. Children should be prepared to enter the world when they graduate, and if the specified curriculum has not been met, then we are failing as educations to do our jobs
