Lately I have been a visitor to a couple of classrooms, most of them where very interesting, except for the newer teachers that did not have a lot of space in their smaller classrooms.  As a visitor the things that I noticed where the classroom library, the world wall, the wall that matched words with definitions or vocabulary wall, anchor charts, some work stations, and the children’s work on display for others to see.  And during the observation the teacher introduced Brain Pop Jr. to the students, along with the Magic School Bus, and Discovery Education, the thing that surprised me was how much most of the teachers went out their way to make it a literacy rich environment.  Visitors and students should always walk into a classroom with lots of visuals it only helps the parents to see what their children are learning, and it helps the students to learn more.
