The school that I am doing my student teaching at is the smallest school in the district, the district has four elementary schools (Pre-K – 5th) and one middle school (6th – 8th). The school is a Title 1 school and it has a 94% Hispanic population. The school is a free lunch school so all the students receive free lunch, there is also a Snack Pack program that provides a backpack with food for the weekend to more than 300 students. 31% of the students are ELL (English Language Learners) and 12% of the students are receiving Special Education Services.

ELA

The student will be able to describe the structure of a story including beginning, middle and end.

The student will be to identify the main idea of the story.

Math

The students will learn to subtract with and without regrouping using place value chart.

The students will learn to subtract with and without regrouping using an array.

The reason why I know these goals are correct is that these goals will be beneficial for the students to master because they can be used in different content areas. They also  will help the ELL students becoming proficient in the English Language.
