Now that you have read the lectures and done the work, it is time to reflect on what you have learned. This is a way of moving your learning into your long-term memory, so take this seriously and consider what you most want to hold onto. The self-reflection exercise has two parts: what you learned and what you will do with it. Write at least one paragraph about each.
- What did you learn? Think about what you consider the most important bits of knowledge and skill that this course tried to give you. Do not simply list everything, but choose the top two or three, identify and describe what they were and explain why you found them important.
- What will you do with what you learned? From time to time the course has pointed out real-world applications of what you have been learning. However, what are some of the applications of critical thinking you can think of. Identify two or three and explain how critical thinking may be useful. Responses can vary from making a big life decision to working in your profession. Be thoughtful so that you will remember your answer when the situation to use critical thinking arises.
