I. Intro paragraph (four sent. minimum/one page max; underlined thesis)

1. Presents essay's topic in broad, general, wide terms put in its widest context.

2. Defines key terms.

3. Present thesis sentence.

*Thesis - your particular perspective of importance regarding the essay's topic.

Il. Topic sentence (addresses an aspect of the assignment while supporting the thesis)

IlI. same

IV. same

V. Conclusion

1. Reiterates thesis

2. Sums up key pts.

3. Provides topic and/or thesis closure

Essay Format/turn outline into essay

No Roman numerals; indented paragraphs; no underlined thesis; support topic sentences by creating four sentence minimum body paragraphs.

Conclusion paragraph should 1) re-iterate the thesis, 2) sum up key pts found in topic sentences, 3) provide a conclusive closure statement regarding the essay topic and/or thesis.
