1. The times in which we live have often been referred to as the "Age of Anxiety" for many reasons. In fact, depression and anxiety are the most commonly diagnosed mental disorders. That being said, what are the political and social factors that give rise to or current levels of anxiety and depression? Given the myriad social and psychological factors that have given rise to anxiety and depression in our country, what is the role of psychologists in helping to stem the current tide? What do we need to do as a society to stem the current tide of these emotional disorders? Your thoughts?
