Since so many students play video games these days, teachers have started using students' love of gaming to promote learning in the classroom.

Since so many students play video games these days, teachers have started using students' love of gaming to promote learning in the classroom. Teachers have discovered gaming apps that allow them to create learning challenges online for students, and as students attain these challenges, they often receive extrinsic rewards (e.g. free dress, pencils, stickers, etc.) as a way to motivate them to try harder and stay interested in what they are learning.
