Its Never to Late to Forgive an Absent Father

“Life gets easier when you learn to accept the apology you never got.” Robert Brault. Absent family members don’t always know when there in the wrong, they will never apologies. At some point whether its when they are dead or on their death bed all of the resentment and hate will subside even when they never apologized. In the 1998 classic film Smoke Signals, director Chris Eyre conveys the life lesson that it is never too late to absolve the sins of an absent father, best analyzed through the characters Thomas and Victor, in the setting of a bus on a journey from Coeur d’Alene reservation in Idaho to Phoenix Arizona, using the theme of forgiveness.
