So far this semester, you have studied several different types of statistical tests that can be used in different situations (e.g. independent-samples t-test, chi-squared test for independence). For each of the situations below, please describe which statistical test you would use and why you would choose that test. 

1. You are designing an experiment to determine whether watching Planet Earth leads people to become more concerned about the environment. You randomly assign participants to watch either a) two hours of Planet Earth or b) two hours of a reality TV show. Afterwards, you ask them to indicate their concern about the environment using a slider that goes from 0-100. You hypothesize that those who watched two hours of Planet Earth will report being more concerned about the environment than those who watched two hours of a reality TV show. What test would you use to test this hypothesis?
