For students to observe a video where policy experts discuss and debate contemporary 'Medicare for All' proposals, summarize panelists' arguments, and use that information to take clear positions on the issue.

Instructions

Write a 2-3 page paper (12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, 1” margins) that includes the following:

  • An introduction (no more than ½ a page) briefly summarizing the main ideas and arguments presented during the April 25th, 2019 panel discussion on Medicare for All proposals being introduced by members of Congress and discussed by some 2020 Democratic presidential candidates (you can access the video at https://www.c-span.org/video/?460130-1/medicare-proposal).

    • Mark E. Miller
    • Karen Pollitz
    • Thomas A. Scully
    • Marilyn B. Tavenner
