Select a social phenomenon (war, crime, poverty, etc.) and write a 750-1,000-word essay that defines and explains the role of a theory in providing a perspective as to the reason for certain social phenomenon.

Include the following in your essay:

1. Explain how the functional, conflict, and symbolic interaction perspectives account for the phenomenon you selected.
2. GCU believes that the redemptive work of Christ offers hope of restoration to individuals, families, communities, and societies. Explain how someone with the Christian Worldview might approach reasoning for the social phenomenon.
3. Conclude your essay with a statement of how society works according to the theories.
