1. Quickly skim the questions or assignment below and the assignment rubric to help you focus.

Assignment:

Length: 1500 word essay

Structure: include a title page and reference page. These do not count towards the minimum word amount for this assignment.

References: Use at least one APA style in-text citation and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions.

Format: Save your assignment as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or Docx).

Filename: Name your saved file according to your first initial, last name, and assignment number  (for example “RHallAssignment1.docx”).

Goal: Explore a role in healthcare

Role: You are exploring a role that fits your talents and interests well.

Audience: You are writing this journal reflection to help organize your own thoughts.

Situation: You are exploring different roles by reading what others in that role have said about their positions.

Product/Purpose: Describe why you would like that role and how you would grow as a professional in that role. Research that role and, using at least one citation/reference, describe it in depth. How would you manage time, stress, relationships, and your workspace in that role? How would you fit into the workplace culture? What would be your short and long-term goals in that role?

Standards and Criteria for Success: Your reflections must include a description of the role; how your skills fit that role; what interests you most about the role; how you plan to grow as a professional in that role; how you plan to manage time, stress, relationships, and your workspace; what you will do to fit into the workplace culture; and what your short and long-term goals would be in that role. You should have at least one APA-style citation/reference about the role.
