Students are expected to look at each link and then write a 2-page response describing what they see and explain how that compliments or counteracts the descriptions that they have read in the Oxtoby textbook. You MUST use the textbook as a supplementary source of information for each assignment. Failure to use the textbook will result in an automatic deduction. For each ICA, you will have two options and you want to pick only one to respond to in your assignment. 

Formatting instructions: Students should use standard formatting which includes 12-point New Times Roman font, double-spaced text, and in-text citations. You may use MLA, APA, or Chicago style in-text citations but no bibliography is needed since you will only be using the Oxtoby textbook and the website provided in the instructions below.

Go to the al-Jazeera website and watch the short video on the hajj. Describe what you see including: monuments, architectural details of various buildings, ritual practices, and clothing. Did this video give you a different perspective on the hajj than you had after reading the textbook? Why or why not?
