She has no allergies, has never had a transfusion before and is only taking pain medication post op. She has a #25 IV catheter in place in her Right hand to saline lock. The doctor has ordered 2 units of packed cells. Thirty minutes after you initiated Sue's transfusion her temperature increased by 1 degree and she complains of chills.
