Suppose that you are stranded on an island with another man.  He is sick and is not going to make it.  As he is dying, he asks you to give his remaining assets ($2 million) to his favorite baseball team the NY Yankees.  You promise that you will and he dies.  

You are then rescued and you attain his money.  You are about to deliver it to the Yankees when you hear an ad for your favorite charity asking for $2 million to save 100,000 people from starving to death.  What would you do?  Keep your promise, why or why not?  Break your promise, why or why not?
