Healthcare

After watching the video Sick Around the World, I have concluded that I like how health
care is run in the United Kingdom (UK), where everyone is automatically enrolled in the
National Health Service (NHS) when they are born. NHS is a single-payer health care system
that makes the most sense to me. The NHS is a government-run health care system that is funded
by taxes. Everyone is allowed to use the NHS, regardless of income or employment status. I
think this is an excellent system because it would ensure that everyone has access to quality
health care and help reduce the overall cost of health care. In a single-payer system, the
government would be responsible for paying for health care for all citizens. A single-payer
health care system would be the best option for the United States. It would also allow the
government to negotiate better prices with drug companies and hospitals, which would help
reduce the overall healthcare cost. The health care system currently in place in the United States
is a private insurance system. In this system, people are responsible for buying their health
insurance, which can be very expensive. This can be a problem for people who are unemployed
or have low incomes because they may not be able to afford health insurance. This can lead to
people not getting the necessary health care, which can be very dangerous.
Generally, health care stories presented in the media, that is, documentaries or news, can
effectively raise awareness about important issues and help citizens manage their health care.

The effectiveness of health care stories in the media depends on various factors, including the
specific media outlet, the target audience, and the type of story being presented. However, it is
essential to consider the audience that is being targeted. For those not educated on health care,
the media may serve as a tool to educate them on the topic. Those who are more educated may
benefit from the media's straightforward explanations of health care issues.
It is often difficult to assess the impact of media coverage on health care issues. As a
result, extensive research on the effectiveness of health care stories presented in the media has
not been conducted. This partly stems from the assumption that it will be difficult to measure a
topic that is not easy to quantify. However, if news stories can affect how people manage their
health care by informing them about a topic, such as cholesterol levels in their blood; it should be
possible to measure its impact. In addition, identifying a relationship between media coverage
and behavior change is critical for understanding how these effects may occur. However, in
general, health care stories presented in the media can effectively raise awareness of health care
issues and inspire people to take action to improve their health care.
I found the stories posted in the media more inspiring. I think Senator McCain is a hero,
and it is impressive that he is still fighting for what he believes in despite his diagnosis. He called
for bipartisanship and for members of both parties to work together to solve the country's
problems. I also think the Family fights $474K hospital bill video is effective as it reaches the
audience by explaining the challenges faced in healthcare facilities. I agree with these messages
since they create awareness for the targeted group facing similar challenges.
I think the stories are more compelling in how they reach the targeted audience because
they depict powerful messages from influential figures with visible emotions, which call for
compromise, and action from all parties involved in the media's coverage so that these issues do

not affect more people. I think the people who should be watching these videos are watching
them. I think Senator McCain's message is essential for people currently in the political arena. In
addition, I think the Family's story is essential for people who are struggling with medical bills.
Other media content that may be effective at reaching the most at-risk groups includes
public service announcements, health education campaigns, and web-based resources. These
materials are often specifically designed to reach those at risk for health problems. They can be
highly effective in raising awareness of health care issues and inspiring people to take action to
improve their health care.
Most Americans learn about their health care through the media, word of mouth, or
personal experience. However, there is a great deal of confusion about the health care system,
which politicians and other resources often perpetuate. For example, during the 2016 presidential
election, then-candidate Donald Trump promised to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act
(ACA), which he characterized as a "disaster." However, he did not specify what his replacement
plan would entail. As a result, many Americans were left uncertain about what would happen to
their health care coverage if the ACA were repealed. Politicians and other resources need to
provide clear and concise information about health care coverage to reduce this confusion.
We can change communication to more effectively manage health issues and practices in
many ways. These ways include
 Improve communication between healthcare providers and patients.
 Encourage patients to communicate openly with their healthcare providers about their
health concerns.
 Educate patients on how to communicate effectively with their healthcare providers.
