Can you think of one or more examples of characters, or perhaps entire movies, that don't really fit the "archetype" concept (or, at least, are more difficult to apply the archetypes to)? In what way do you think movies or characters that are difficult to analyze in terms of archetypes are different from the sorts of movies or characters most of you chose for this assignment? Are there particular kinds of stories (or movies or characters) that seem to you to fit the archetype-approach better than others? Are there particular kinds that don't fit, or at least that don't seem to fit as neatly with the archetype -approach? If so, what characteristics do you think distinguish these two different sorts of movies?
