The NCVS is being provided by victims which is mostly accurate and UCR and NIBRS are reported by law enforcement and it has parameters that may prevent all crimes reported. The UCR is in the victim’s words and gives law enforcement a more accurate estimation of crimes committed as not all crimes are reported to law enforcement (National).
