The DARE program has enjoyed some positive results, but there is also some information out there that questions the effectiveness of the DARE program and philosophy.

Research two or more articles or websites to educate yourself on this issue. Then, in a one to two page essay, include the following information:

1. Provide an introduction about the DARE program
2. Present a well-supported argument supporting the effectiveness of the DARE program
3. Present a well-supported argument taking the opposite position - arguing that the DARE program is not effective.
4. Make at least two suggestions about things that you would change or address in the existing program to try to make your DARE program more effective than the one that is currently in use.
