The Lucas sequence, named for the 19th century French mathematician Edouard Lucas, is an example of a "Fibonacci-style" sequence, where each term is the sum of the 2 previous terms. The difference is that the first 2 terms of the Lucas sequence are  and (so would be 1+3=4.)  

a) State the first 12 terms of the Lucas sequence.

           b) Find the value of and round your answer to 3 decimal places. What number is this close to?
