While the water surface on side A remains at atmospheric pressure, the pressure on the oil surface on side B is increased. This pressure increase causes the surface of separation of oil and water to move by 100 mm (vertically) from its original position. Determine the pressure difference between A and B (after the pressure increase on side B).The density of water is 1000 kg/m3, the specific gravity of oil is 0.83, and the acceleration due to gravity is 9.81 m/s2.Note: First draw appropriate schematics of the manometer set-up before and after the increase of pressure on side B.
