The purpose of this discussion board is to identify how certain international transactions affect the United States' balance of payments, imports, exports, net exports, and net imports.  

• Students living in Prague flock to see the latest movie produced and filmed in Hollywood
• Mrs. Jones in Philadelphia buys a new Volvo that was made in Sweden.
• A student at Oxford University in England purchases online a textbook that was authored and printed in the United States.
• A Canadian citizen shop at a store in northern Vermont to avoid Canadian sales taxes, paying with Canadian currency.
• An American art professor spends the summer touring museums in Europe paying for everything with U.S. currency.
