This assignment is the main deliverable for this course, all the coursework you have done up to this point should support the development of your literature synthesis paper. Your synthesis paper should not simply be a summary of articles you have found based on your literature search. Rather, you will identify relationships of the articles you found and group them to understand what is known about your topic of interest. Altogether, what does the evidence mean? How does it relate to your problem and population of interest. How will the evidence guide your DNP project idea?

For this assignment:

Write a short paper (limit to 4-5 pages) concisely synthesizing the articles you found during the literature search on your chosen topic. Add additional articles to your evidence table for a total of 7-10 articles. All articles that are included in your evidence table (7-10 articles) should be referenced in paper. Please take in to consideration feedback given for your evidence table assignment and make changes as needed to the table. You will include the table (only the table, not the whole evidence table document previously submitted) as an appendix to this paper. **No systematic reviews or meta-analysis of any kind are permitted for this assignment. You should include the following in your paper:

• Background of your chosen topic: describe the nature and significance of the the problem (limit to <1 page).
• Synthesis of the literature found to answer clinical question. Synthesis paragraphs will refer to more than one paper at a time and the text must carry the meaning (limit to 2-3 pages).
• 2 potential recommendations for interventions that are feasible for a DNP project (limit to <1 page).

Make sure you consider APA formatting and scholarly tone in your paper. Your assignment submission will be evaluated by TurnItIn, upon submission be sure to review your Turnitin results and revise and resubmit your paper as needed prior to the due date. 

The paper requires a narrow view of a problem.  For example, nursing approaches to childhood obesity would need to be narrowed to an age group or an ethnic group or a practice setting. Feel free to contact me to discuss how to narrow and select your topic.
