This paper is the "main course" of your research!

Most of you have been trying to write this paper since the beginning of the semester. Now you will finally advance your argument. You have already described your artifact and you have studied the literature related to your artifact. In this paper, you will explain how the critical elements of your artifact interact to create a powerful/persuasive artifact.

At this point, you will expose your main argument and support it with tons of evidence from your artifact. Once you conduct your analysis you will identify the central elements of your analysis. Give one subheading to each of those central elements. Let’s suppose you identify three patterns in your artifact, then make sure you have an introductory paragraph followed by three subheadings—each of them treating a different pattern you identified.  Try to use clusters of findings, in order to avoid having a paper that is all about description, rather than analysis per se. Very important: in this paper, you should do minimal description. Your goal is to answer these questions:

1. Why is this artifact so persuasive (or powerful)?

2. How can rhetoric explain its power?

3. How can a rhetorical theory illuminate this phenomenon?

You must weave in the paper one theoretical perspective that supports or shape your argument. We have covered a few of these "search models" in class. You can adopt one of them or others if you prefer.

Remember: This paper is about rhetoric!!!! If rhetoric is not at the forefront of your analysis, then it is not a good rhetoric paper.

Expected length: 3 pages.
