In Unit 1, you examined a study for a specific crime of your choice to explore the research method and findings. In this unit, you will research the crime you chose in Unit 2 and explore it further. You will complete the following:

• Find 8–10 scholarly articles or studies concerning the crime published within the last 5 years, and create an annotated bibliography for each article.
• Summarize the findings to identify behavior patterns, background, trends, discipline or rehabilitation, or other commonalities or differences.
• Identify the primary theories that may cause that specific crime.
• Examine the current articles or studies, and summarize a study that you would conduct to fill the gaps in the literature to address your specific crime that could help change policies, procedures, or legislation.

This information will lead into future weeks of analyzing crime, causation, theories, and policies to address the crime and issues.
