Today at the clinic, you are caring for an older woman who fell at the nursing home where she lives. She wears glasses, is hard of hearing, and normally walks with a walker (prior to the fall). You have been assigned to be her nurse while she is awaiting surgery to be scheduled. After reading her chart, you learn that she is a married woman, but her husband is not present and she has no other living relatives. Her previous medical history indicates she also has some dementia.
