Tolstoy's "My Confession"

In "My Confession," Tolstoy appears to conclude that rationality, or "rational knowledge," leads to the conclusion that life is meaningless. What is his reasoning for this conclusion, and do you agree with it? If not, where do you think he goes wrong? If you do agree with Tolstoy, what do you make of his turn towards "faith."
