            Travelin’ Style manufactures camping trailers in a production facility in Brownsville, Texas.  The company is only eight years old and manufactures small, medium, and large trailers, as well as custom trailers.  Despite much larger competitors, the company is doing well due to competitive pricing and distinctive designs, with special features for tailgaters. 

            Of the 56 employees, 42 work on the shop floor under a single job classification.  The rest of the employees are:

·       three supervisors

·       three accounting specialists

·       three engineers

·       two sales people

·       one plant manager

·       one logistics specialist

·       company president/owner. 

The company recently installed a new computer system for tracking production quality, production rates, and production costs.  Review of the manufacturing reports indicates some bottlenecks in the production process, inconsistent quality, and higher than planned costs on some models.  The plant manager thinks the employees need training to reduce these problems. 

            You are a member of a training consultant company in the Dallas area and the plant manager has contacted your firm to design and deliver employee training.  Your team conducted a needs assessment and found all employees need training on the new computer system and production workers and their supervisors need training on implementing total quality management to improve quality by reducing errors. 

Working alone or with one other student in the class, write a report (3 to 4 pages) describing the evaluation process you recommend to measure the effectiveness of the training.  Be as thorough as possible, include a description of the evaluation you will conduct (hint: at all levels) and describe the data collection techniques you will use to evaluate each level.

Your training evaluation report should include the following sections:
