The father of the bride is prepared to spend $100,000 for an ideal, luxury wedding for his only daughter. Prepare the budget for the father of the bride, including all activities, expenses, salaries, and other costs. Use the internet or call vendors near you to get “real” numbers for all aspects of the wedding. You will submit two deliverables: First, complete a short (1 page) narrative on the theme and overall budget for the wedding. Your client works in the finance world and will be questioning every budget item. Therefore, even though you have a large budget to work with, make sure you have examined each item and provided realistic and reasonable costs. You will not want to quote the highest price on any item without substantial reasoning. Remember to explain how you met the client’s needs while you maintained the budget. Second, you will submit a budget spreadsheet. Use the Wedding Budget Spreadsheet in Doc Sharing as your guide. Document, at the bottom of the spreadsheet, all of the sources you contacted. Feel free to add or modify any part of the spreadsheet to best fit your event.
