This course has introduced multiple concepts specific to emergency medical services (EMS) systems. This assignment will allow you to apply what you have learned to your own organization, specifically in light of your agency’s response to a natural disaster.

For this assignment, you will describe how you would use the information and knowledge gained from this course to assist with the development of a strategic plan for the next fiscal year with your own agency, keeping in mind how your agency would respond to a potential natural disaster. Think of the most common natural disasters that occur in the region of the country in which you live. For example, hurricanes are prevalent when one lives close to water, and tornadoes are common in the middle region of the country. Describe what you might add to a strategic plan concerning such a disaster in your area.

In your essay, include the following information:

• an introduction that contains a brief description of your agency;
• a description of how you would apply the knowledge gained in this course to develop a strategic plan, including information about the type of revenue option your agency will use and the agency’s key activities;
• a general overview of the business model including revenues, expenditures, activities, and resources; and
