Use Table 2 to find the order for Na 2 S 2 O 3 . You are looking for a whole number.
Don't quite understand this and need help.
Use Table 2 to find the order for Na2S2O3. You are looking for a whole number. You have three possibilities; choose the one that most closely fits your data:
- If the rate is unchanged when the concentration of Na2S2O3 changes, then the order for Na2S2O3 = 0.
- If the rate doubles when [Na2S2O3] doubles, and the rate triples when the [Na2S2O3] triples, then the order for Na2S2O3 = 1.
- If the rate increases by a factor of four when [Na2S2O3] doubles, and the rate increases by a factor of nine when [Na2S2O3] triples, then the order for Na2S2O3 = 2.
I think the rate is (b) If the rate doubles when Na2S2O3 doubles than the rate triples when na2S2O3 triples then the order is 1. but I don't quite understand it. If you could help clarify that would be great.
