The study of waiting in line is the essence of this problem. Queuing theory is the mathematical analysis of the waiting line.

Examine the different queuing and forecasting models available to solve problems for waiting lines and demand forecasting. (An added resource you may find useful is;

Belbel, Abdelghani & A Abdo, A & Abdo, Abdo. (2018). Operations Management: Waiting lines, demand forecasting and quality systems. 

Question: Select a situation where you have experienced wait time; fast food restaurants are famous for lines. Respond to one or more of the following;

1. What is waiting line you observed, and what are its characteristics?
2. What is queuing theory, and how is it used in waiting line problem analysis?
3. How do you select and apply the appropriate queuing models to solve waiting line

problems?
