Justify the circumstances in a business situation in which you would use GEOS, LEOS, and MEOS.

Geostationary Object (GEO) is used by many applications including direct broadcast as well as communications or relay systems.The geostationary orbit has the advantage that the satellite remains in the same position throughout the day. For this reason, antennas can be directed towards the satellite and remain on track. This factor is important for applications such as direct broadcast TV where changing directions for the antenna would not be practicable. A variety of different types of satellite use the Low-Earth-Orbiting (LEO) levels. These include different types and applications including communications satellites and Earth monitoring satellites. Some communications satellites including the Iridium phone system use LEO. Earth monitoring satellites use LEO as they are able to see the surface of the Earth more clearly because they are not so far away. They are also able to traverse the surface of the Earth. The International Space Station is in an Low-Earth-Orbit that varies between 199 and 249 miles above the Earth's surface. Medium-Earth-Orbiting (MEO) is the region of space around the Earth above low Earth orbit and below geostationary orbit. The most common use for Medium-Earth-Orbiting Satellite is navigation, such as GPS. Communications satellites that cover the North and South Poles are also put in MEO. Telstar is one of the first and most famous experimental satellite orbits in MEO.    

Discuss the business applications currently being used to support VSAT

Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) provide high speed, broadband satellite communications for Internet or private network communications. VSAT is good for mining camps, vessels at sea, satellite news gathering, emergency responders, oil and gas camps, or any application that requires a broadband Internet connection at a remote location.  It is also great way to connect remote sites and workers with Internet communications for email, web access, video transmissions, or voice over IP telephone services.
