You can select one from the list of suggested films (below) or choose another film that is about a young adult during school or early adulthood. 2. What are the main agents of socialization? Be sure to consider family, peers, school, media, and any other major agents!
  3. What are at least two rules that individuals are told to follow?
  4. What is at least one resource that individuals have to help them navigate adolescence?
  5. What is an example of a resource that individuals in the film are hoping to gain? Why?
  6. Identify two examples where the actions of individuals reinforce the social structure (or particular social structural rules).
  7. Identify two examples where the actions of individuals attempt to transform the social structure (or particular social structural rules).
  8. Tell me: did examining these things (above) make you think any differently about the movie or socialization?
