Finkral 1.1

Hello,

My name is Abbie Finkral, and I am pretty familiar with nonprofit organizations.  I currently work for a non-profit organization and just took the class about non-profit organizations. A non-profit organization I think I would want to work at in the future when completing this degree would be to work with adults with developmental disabilities. I currently work with individuals with a developmental disability, but they also have have a mental illness as well. I do not plan to work with individuals on the behavioral side like I do now. I plan to intern at a non-profit, but I am not sure where at yet. I want a different experience to see if this is what I really want to continue to do. When I was younger, I did sell different raffle tickets for school and girl scout cookies. Most of the time I was successful, but I also had the help of my mom and dad bringing them to work.

Tammie 1.1 DB

Top of Form

Hello, my name is Tammie Everette, and I am currently pursuing my degree in Human Services. I’m now working part-time as a case manager for individuals with delayed learning disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.  I feel that I have a lot experience this past year with non-profit organizations and creating sustainable funding for non-profit organizations. My husband and I were Gym Coordinators at a non-profit organization and we did a lot of fundraising for our gym programs. I also did a lot fundraising for my children school, basketball team, baseball, football, and dance team. This summer I participated in a fundraiser with my son and we raised over $800 dollars for his baseball team. My goal would be to work with an organization that focuses on physical wellness for underprivileged youth.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to learning with everyone this semester!
