1. Describe what life is like for a Corrections Officer. How does their day-to-day experience differ from that of the management?

2. Explain the commonly accepted rights of prisoners in the United States today. Where do these rights come from? What U.S. Supreme Court cases are especially significant in the area of prisoners’ rights? Then conduct online research into prisoner’s rights in another country and compare/contrast those rights with those of US prisoners.

3. Explain how the juvenile justice system differs from the adult justice system. Include your opinion on whether juveniles should or should not be tried as adults, and if your opinion varies from crime to crime and case to case.

4. Discuss the important U.S. Supreme Court decisions of relevance to juvenile justice. What was the impact of each of these decisions on juvenile justice in America?
