What are nodes, internodes, and buds?
The buds i.e., un-opened flwers, leaves etc., develop at the nodes or apex of the plants and internodes are the tissues between the two nodes.
The buds are un-opened flower, leaves etc, bear the developing parts of the flowers, leaves, branches etc. These buds finally mature into plant organs. The nodes are the joints of plant bodies. These joints bear meristematic tissues, which produce flowers, leaves, branches etc. The place between two nodes is called internode. The internodes are the vegetative part of plants without meristematic tisses. Thank you. Dr B K Mishra.
