What are the chemical formulas of potassium sulfate and of calcium acetate?
Formula for Potassium Sulphate is ##K_2SO_4## and the formula for Calcium Acetate is ##Ca(C_2H_3O_2)_2##
Sulphate polyatomic ion has a charge of -2 and Potassium has a charge of +1 that is why the Potassium gets a subscript 2 after it in the formula.
Calcium has a charge of +2 and the Acetate (##C_2H_3O_2##) has a charge of -1 so therefore the acetate is put in brackets and gets a subscript 2 behind it.
Hope I helped :)
