Subject Progress report on Grapple and accumulator
Date 7/31/13
In my project, I've been concentrating the past two weeks on helping Mr. Brandon Roberson cut down on labor cost by purchasing a grapple and accumulator. With four workers it take about eight hours to haul thousand bales of hay costing around thousand dollars or more in labor.
Results from last three weeks
I have been gathering information on the cost of the grappler and accumulator and comparing it to the cost of his current labor. On a short term basis, the grapple and accumulator will cost a larger sum of money up front (about $9,700) but when compared to the long term the grapple and accumulator could save thousands of dollars.
Plans for the next week
During the next week I will continue to crunch numbers to have a better estimate on how much my client could potentially save by purchasing the grapple and accumulator. I will also continue to compare the short and long terms effect of using paid labor compared to the grapple and accumulator to better show the pros and cons of each.
Conclusion
I'm preparing to have the final report as well as a presentation ready by 8/7/13. In the meantime everything is on schedule as of this time.
