What are two types of nitrogenous bases found in nucleic acids?
The two types are pyrimidines and purines.
Pyrimidine bases are the basic forms of all 4 bases. Thymine and Cytosine and Uracil are built by just a pyrimidine ring, whereas guanine and adenine are built up by a pyrimidin ring which is fused to a imidazole ring (=purine).
