QUESTION

What causes wind?

Air pressure gradient.

Wind is the movement of air. is cause by a pressure gradient. Air will move from an area of high pressure toward an area of low pressure. There are other effects that act on the air to change the direction like Coriolis and friction. The speed of the wind depends on the strength of the gradient (stronger gradient equals stronger winds).
