What did the Tea Act do and say?
The Tea Act was created by the British to put heavily taxes on tea in the American Colonies. The money gained by the taxes was to repay the debt that the British government had caused in Europe. The colonists got mad and dumped tea boxes into the sea from ships which is also known as the Boston Tea Party. The British got mad and sent their troops to occupy Boston. This enraged the colonists and eventually led to one of the main causes of the Revolutionary War which led to the independence of America from England.
