This week you are reading about how and why emergency response agencies are using social media more prevalently in their communications with their servicing public. As part of understanding why agencies have embraced the use of social platforms, you have to understand how those same communities are getting their information.  

As you make your recommendations for Torrancetown, in your experience do certain media outlets use social platforms and traditional methods (print, broadcast, website) interchangeably with their social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, etc)? What are the similarities or differences in the information being shared? What might that mean in regard to how that particular community obtains information?
