What do nephrons in the kidneys do?

Nephrons are the most basic and smallest filtration unit in the kidney.

They contain many parts, including a tufted capillary whose blood plasma is filtered into a capsule known as Bowman's capsule. This filtrate French tubules with different names, like proximal and distal. There is also a loop of Henle. All different areas act to absorb or secrete an ion or molecule into or from the filtrate. Eventually, urine is formed at the end we're collecting ducts drip the newly formed urine into other renal and bladder locations.
