What happens in meiosis during telophase l?
The first meiotic division ends with the parent cell spliting into two daughter cells.
When the meiotic cycle gets to Telophase I , the parent cell has two poles, each with a complete haploid set of chromosomes (which still have their sister chromatids).
At this moment, a cleavage furrow is formed, dividing the cell's cytoplasm in half (a proccess ultimately called cytokinesis). Once the cytoplasm is completely divided, the two daughter cells originated begin preparing for the second meiotic division.
