What is a Facile reaction?

Facile reactions involve the synthesis of complex molecules or devices consisting of these molecules through simple reaction pathways, requiring minimal effort at times. It is actually just a fancy term scientists use to market their research in the place of words like easy or simple.

Facile reactions can be many things from a simple organic synthesis to the construction of an electrode's surface. Nanochemistry, which is the chemistry of matter at what most researchers call zero dimensions often uses this term to market their research. Nanoparticles synthesised are sometimes defined as facile reactions.
