research synthesis is a set of literature reviews combined their purpose is to create generalizations on the empirical researches 

Synthesize is summarizing the work in your own words and combining ideas and allowing an evolving understanding of text, but Summary is just identifying keys elements in your own words.

My research is about the importance of communication in the workplace and the problem is a lack of communication in the public sector between leaders and the subordinates.

The research question is: Does good communication between leaders and employees improve employee productivity?    

Dependent variable is: is my agency is successful at accomplishing its mission?
