What is abrasion and how does it result in erosion?
Bits of rocks are worn away by constant rubbing.
When rocks are in a river, rocks can rub against each other over and over when moving along the current. This usually leaves the rock in a rounder and smaller shape. It is considered erosion because the bits of rock worn away are eroded.
