QUESTION

What is ice thrusting and how does it result in glacial erosion?

Ice thrusting occurs when the glacier freezes to the underlying soil or rock. When the glacier moves again, it rips large sheets of soil or rock and carries it along at the base of the glacier and pushing sediment ahead of the glacier.
